We can also look after your pool-scaping including decks, paving, retaining walls or even a gorgeous pool feature such as a decorative screen, cabana or a leisure area. Pool-scaping in conjunction with the pool design will make the building process more efficient and potentially lower costs.
Our coordination service distinguishes us from others as we will be with you from the creative pool design stage right through to plan lodgement with the appropriate Sydney regulatory authority.

Property Information Checks
If you wish to proceed with our services, Pool Plans By Design will coordinate and obtain property specific information as applicable for your CDC or DA building approval: • Land Titles, Planning and Property Certificates • Detailed Survey • Sewer Service Diagram • Dial Before You Dig
On-Site Consultation
This is where it gets exciting! Our pool designer will meet you at your Sydney property to assess the site and discuss your ideas and desires. Discussion points include: • Pool size, shape and depth • General access • Solar access • Safety fencing • Location of pool filtration / heating equipment • Pool surrounds • Features or screen planting • Ancillary structures
Pool Design Concept Plan
A coloured and dimensioned concept plan will be prepared in 2D format depicting the detailed proposal. As an additional option, we can also provide 3D rendered images.
Formal Pool Plans
Following your acceptance of the concept plan, DA (Development Application) or CDC (Complying Development Certificate) plans will be prepared for submission to the appropriate regulatory authorities. Where the proposal is eligible for CDC, coordination of structural drawings designed by a registered professional structural and civil engineer forms part of our service. Where the proposal is required to be lodged as a DA, coordination of the structural details shall be completed as a requirement of the CC (Construction Certificate) phase of approvals.
Formal Pool Plan Documentation
All known supporting documentation will be coordinated or prepared prior to lodgement of the application with the appropriate regulatory authorities. This may include Basix assessment, coordination of Sydney Water approval and other reports required by the regulatory authority.
- Property Information Checks – Following the free telephone consultation, fees for this next stage will be presented on a per project basis.
- On-Site Consultation for Sydney Metro areas only – starting from $300+ GST.
- Pool Design and Plans – Fees for the coordination, design concept and formal plans will be presented on a per project basis. Fees will depend on the scope and size of the project.
